The Arlington Theater was constructed in 1949 and opened February 10, 1950. The original marquee is still intact over the front entrance. The theater was state-of-the-art and featured a stage where local bands played. While many of Arlington's early buildings dating from the turn of the century through the 1930's were torn down pursuant to urban renewal, this historic building was spared. Its mission is to provide Arlington, and the surrounding Greater Dallas/ Ft. Worth areas with the highest quality entertainment. Whether you desire music, concerts, or theatrical performances, they provide an elegant atmosphere in an intimate auditorium to create the ideal experience.
