The Fort Worth Community Arts Center's mission is to provide accessible and affordable exhibition, performance, workshop, classroom, and office space to artists and arts organizations in the region, and to serve the general public by presenting the work of contemporary visual and performing artists in a user-friendly environment that is available for event and meeting rentals. At the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, they celebrate their community's diversity through the arts and showcase the talents of regional artists. Their 77,000 square foot facility offers performance, exhibition spaces and event spaces for rent. Designed for adults and children alike, the Center offers a place for the celebration and creation of ideas including: Dance Theater Studio art Music Opera Poetry

      05/15/12- 05/30/12	Night Shift Fort Worth Community Arts Center Night Shift at Fort Worth Community Arts Center May 15-May 30, 2012 Taught by Jo LeMay Rutledge, this oil painting class is a group of adults who are professionals by day and who transform into right-brain expressives by night. The studio class is held in the evenings at Fort Worth Country Day School and is designed for beginner through more experienced painters. No matter what level the painters, we conclude our year with an art show to share the semester's accomplishments over wine and cheese.

The fragility of the textile elements paired with concrete creates an opposition that translates my concepts into three dimensional works. She work with textile elements from my personal collection as well as those acquired through her research in Uganda to create sculptures that explore the relevance, history and identity associated with these materials.

She admires the technique of Trompe l'oeil, as a mural decoration that involves the realistic rendering of imagery to create the illusion of objects in three dimensions. The diverse variety of shapes, patterns and colors displayed in the wings of her fragile creatures are from another realm of time and space not directly connected to the world of butterfly.

Although Rowley's authorship has been confirmed, the internal evidence suggesting a possible collaboration with Shakespeare is inconclusive. The Birth of Merlin draws from history, romance, and the pastoral tradition, by combining chronicle accounts of the Anglo-Saxon wars prior to the advent of King Arthur and Merlin's miraculous birth and prophecies.

Although Rowley's authorship has been confirmed, the internal evidence suggesting a possible collaboration with Shakespeare is inconclusive. The Birth of Merlin draws from history, romance, and the pastoral tradition, by combining chronicle accounts of the Anglo-Saxon wars prior to the advent of King Arthur and Merlin's miraculous birth and prophecies.
