William Campbell Contemporary Art continues to contribute to the constantly evolving world of contemporary art, now for over thirty years. Located just west of Fort Worth's Cultural District, William Campbell Contemporary Art maintains a strong exhibition program focusing on contemporary art from the Fort Worth region, as well as nationally and internationally recognized artists. The gallery exhibits artists in varied phases of their careers, with emphasis on independence of vision and mastery of technique. The Gallery is proud to be the recipient of FW Weekly Critic's Pick "Best Gallery 2010" award.

    Mark Smith: The Earth Below William Campbell Contemporary Art Mark Smith: The Earth Below Presented by William Campbell Contemporary Art at William Campbell Contemporary Art May 5-June 16, 2012 The Earth Below, an exhibition of new work by North Texas artist Mark Smith. The show will include paintings on wood panel and works on paper from Smith's the Earth Below Suite, so titled to describe not only a group of paintings and drawings, but also the artist's meticulous research, observation, and manipulation-all of which serve to generate intellectual and visual metamorphoses.

    Select Drawings and Ceramic Sculptures William Campbell Contemporary Art Select Drawings and Ceramic Sculptures Presented by William Campbell Contemporary Art at William Campbell Contemporary Art January 25, 2012 - Ongoing Smith's photographs explore the shrinking tracts of unspoiled terrain surrounding his neighborhood, as well as how humans interact with it. While human presence is obvious in some of the photographs, no people appear in this series, allowing the artist to harness the visual power of the untainted landscape. He maintains focus on the natural beauty and function of the land, not simply casting it as a backdrop for human activity.
