Van Cliburn Foundation

The Van Cliburn Foundation has been hosting the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition since 1962, an event founded by a group of music teachers and Fort Worth citizens and dedicated to the discovery of the world's finest and youngest musical talents. The Competition takes place every four years and helps to establish the foundation's mission to promote classical music worldwide while launching and nurturing young artist careers. In addition to the Piano Competition, the Van Cliburn Foundation offers the Cliburn concerts, an annual recital series committed to bringing the world's finest musical artists to North Texas.
