The Magnifica Brass Quintet

For 25 years now, the Magnifica Brass quintet - the only full-time chamber brass ensemble in France - has demonstrated its outstanding talent as a modern day exponent of the French tradition of brass music. The laureate of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation in 1986, the Magnifica Quintet went on to win First Prize at the International Brass Quintet Competition in Baltimore (USA) and won the Narbonne International Competition. The Magnifica quintet has also performed at prestigious festivals (Art Sacre de Paris, Radio-France, Flaneries Musicales de Reims, Saint Bertrand de Comminges...) and regularly undertakes international tours : Latin America and Africa, but also the United States, Russia, Israel, Japan, Austria, Hungary, Spain, etc. With assistance from the instrument maker Yamaha Music Europe, the Quintet also regularly provides teacher training and master classes, both abroad (Tunisia Symphony Orchestra, Music of the Senegalese armed forces, Moscow and Bogota music conservatories) and in French musical academies and schools.
